Job Description: The automated logistical specialist is primarily responsible for supervising and performing management or warehouse functions in order to maintain equipment records and parts. Job duties include: establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports; review and verify quantities received against bills of contracts, purchase requests and shipping documents; unload, unpack, count, segregate, palletize and store incoming supplies and equipment; construct bins, shelving and other storage aids; simplify and standardize the collection and use of maintenance data; raise the quality and accuracy of performance, cost and parts data through improved maintenance management.

0630 formation, 0900 work call to 1700 end work. I was tasked with overseeing $25 million worth of equipment inventory and accomplished zero loss in a 2 year period. Daily tasks include tracking incoming and outgoing orders, improving the receiving and sending process and enhancing the productivity on shrinking budgets. I gained valuable skills that have made me a valuable candidate in the civilian workforce. The military is a great opportunity to receive specialized training, especially if you are unsure what career path to take.

92A is one of the more diverse MOS in the Army. You can work unit level maintenance supply, various warehouse positions, support ops, S4 (basically large scale logistics management for a battalion. In some cases you might even find yourself working in a 92Y capacity as unit supply, or property book office maintaining equipment accountability. At higher ranks you have G4, which is similar to the S4 but higher level, Accountable officer, Materials Supervisor, SASMO (technical help for logistics computer programs). Additionally this MOS is open to many special duty assignments to include; recruiter, drill Sgt, instructor, Training With Industry, DLA, White House Communications Agency, Defense Atache, FEMA, Spec Ops.
