Pros: Health and Dental are free and education is mostly paid for
Cons: Put the wrong type of people in commanding positions
Would pull 24 hour duty and go out in the field a lot and I loved every minute of it. Teaches you how to take care of yourself as well as others when you literally have nothing but the uniform you’re wearing and a water supply
